About the Product
This product is originally from Japan, and each cleaned & gutted piece is between 360-540g. Sea bream is quite similar in texture and taste to sea bass, and is known to be a white fish with a firm body. The flesh is white and flaky. It is best served grilled, pan-fried, or baked. This fish is killed using the Ikejime style, which is a method of preparation for Japanese fish that paralyses the fish and drains their blood, which maintains the fish's flavor and texture. This technique is used to maximize K-Value, which enhances the time in which the fish can remain fresh, along with increased Umami.
This fish as a minimal amount of saturated fats, yet is high in essential vitamins and minerals, as well as omega-3 fatty acids.
