This farmed product is originally from Japan, and each piece is between 1.4-1.6kg, skin on, scale off, bone out, and vacuum packed, with a minimum order of 2 pieces. Yellow tail king fish has a unique and powerful flavor, enjoyed by many. The fish does not contain many bones and is typically served as a whole fish or as steaks, either grilled, baked or fried. This fish is killed using the Ikejime style, which is a method of preparation for Japanese fish that paralyses the fish and drains their blood, which maintains the fish's flavor and texture. This technique is used to maximize K-Value, which enhances the time in which the fish can remain fresh, along with increased Umami.
This fish is high in protein, and is low in calories due to its lean meat. Further, it is an ideal source of Omega-3 which is essential in supporting a healthy immune system.
The weight shown in the image is the average size for the product, however, prices will be adjusted based on actual weight. This product is available for pre-order deliveries every Sunday and Thursday.
