Tips
Before The Pasta Goes Into The Water:
When boiling your pasta, use 10g of salt, and 1000ml of water for every 100g of pasta.
Always add salt to your pasta water, not oil.
Make sure your boiled water is at a boil before adding your pasta.
Pick the right pasta shape for your sauce
When The Pasta Goes Into The Water:
Once you add your pasta to the boiling water, stir it for the first two minutes.
Don’t break long pasta, like spaghetti or linguine.
Pastas should always be cooked until they are Al Dente– only cook the pasta until it is soft, yet still has a chew, and do not overcook it. Test the pasta starting at two minutes before the suggested cook time.
When The Pasta Comes Out Of The Water:
Do NOT rinse the pasta with water. The starch on the pasta needs to stay put!
Finish cooking the pasta in the sauce.Place enough sauce into a large frying pan.
Use the paste water if your sauce is not creamy and feels dry
Add a drizzle of high-quality extra virgin olive oil before serving. This is a great way to finish a pasta dish
